This is a guide to everything about hacking a Nintendo 3DS on firmware versions 9.3 - 10.2. You can check your firmware by opening the system system settings and looking at the bottom right corner of the top screen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 If your firmware says 9.2 or less, do not update! There are many possibilites beyond what a 3DS on 9.3 or above currently can do. Due to only owning a 3DS on firmware 10.1, this guide is designed specifically for those on 9.3 or above. You can try to follow this, and worst case scenario it doesn't work, but you won't tap into the full potential of what you can do.

 

 I would like to reccomend you install Smea's (one of the main creators and mantainers of homebrew on 9.3 and above) offical DNS, which blocks updates and other Nintendo servers but not eShop or online play for games. Just navigate the the systems DNS setting, disable automatic DNS, and type these numbers in:

 

Primary DNS: 107.211.140.165

Secondary DNS: 107.211.140.065
